Rain does not cancel - it is GOOD for the wildflowers!

We have something for ALL AGES!

FREE Wildflower Map and Wildflower Seeds given away as supplies last.
Make a day of it. Start at the festival. Drive out and check on the wildflowers.

Bring your Camera! Come see our wildflower display of what is blooming now!
These small displays will include their name, where they like to grow,
and a bit about them that makes them unique to our area
These displays come from plants grown in captivity.

This is your chance to show off your fabulous California wildflower photos!

Contest Guidelines
One category: "California Wildflowers "Open to all - all ages. 
Entry fee: No entry fee, 2 entries per person
Printed: on Photo Paper - glossy, matt, satin is fine
Size: smallest print 5x7 to 11x14 largest -  and all sizes in-between, all must be mounted in middle of matt board.. 
Mounted: must be mounted on 11 x 14 black or white (only) matt board. No framed photos!
Entries Due: Bring to The Barn Antiques Unique March 12 to March 18th 10-4pm Place your contact information on back.
Pick up entries: After the event at 5pm or March 20 -26 same times.
Judging: done by public voting on March 19th - 9am to 3:00pm Santa Margarita Community Hall. 
Winner announced: 1st to 3rd place at 4pm at the Hall.
One prize per winners. Good luck!

Seeing the Sun in a Different Light with Central Coast Astronomical Society and their solar telescopes. Join us as we explore the most important star in the sky, our Sun. Using safe solar filters on conventional telescopes and unique high-tech specialized solar telescopes, we will share enhanced views of sun spots and the roiling/boiling convection cells on the surface of the Sun. Above, in the Sun's atmosphere, take a look at strange serpentine filaments, dynamic jets of plasma "fur", dramatic tree-like prominences, and if you're lucky the Ginormous solar flares launching star stuff into space at near light speed.  Come learn new fascinating facts about the Sun and see breathtaking images of this amazing cosmic furnace that provides warmth and energy for SLO County wildflowers and all life on planet Earth - IB
